Nurses In Ghana Deliver Babies By Phone Light
The power outage in Ghana has assumed a dangerous dimension as nurses in most hospitals now rely on mobile phone light to deliver babies.
Due to the protracted epileptic supply of electricity in the country, BBC reports that most hospitals are burdened by the cost of fueling their generators. As a result, midwives are compelled to rely on mobile light to carry out baby deliveries.

In the last three years, Ghana has been contending with epileptic power supply. The lingering power outage in has been of great concern to the citizens.

Many wonder why it has been difficult for the Ghanaian government to fix the problem. They consequently nicknamed President John Mahama “Mr. Dumsor” meaning “off and on” .

News break reports that President Mahama on several occasions has publicly acknowledged his new nickname and laughed about it.
